Cities, metropolitan areas and states without a DBSA support group

Can you provide any contact information to help us establish groups? We need your help!  Send contact information to: chapters@DBSAlliance.org

DBSA support groups

  • Motivate patients to follow their treatment plans

  • Help patients understand that mood disorders do not define who they are

  • Provide a forum for mutual acceptance, understanding and self-discovery

  • Give patients the opportunity to reach out to others and to benefit from the experience of those who have "been there."

People who attend DBSA support groups

  • Are less likely to have been hospitalized in the past 12 months

  • Less likely to have stopped medication against medical advice

  • Experienced fewer barriers to treatment adherence
