Planned Giving

Including DBSA in your planned giving is a meaningful way to provide the gifts of education and support to those with mood disorders. You have an opportunity to provide not only for your family and friends, but also for charity. Besides cash, you may also leave stocks, bonds, and other types of property to DBSA.

If you have designated, or wish to designate DBSA as a recipient in your planned giving document, you will be enrolled in the Dr. Jan Fawcett Heritage Society. Named after the founder of DBSA, a prominent psychiatrist and researcher, the Society recognizes those individuals who will provide for DBSA in the future.

A planned gift often provides generous tax advantages. Your estate planning should be done in consultation with an attorney and tax advisor who can help you prepare a document that is legally sound and provides the maximum tax benefits.

If you have included DBSA in your estate planning, please send us an original, signed letter detailing your provisions for DBSA and provide us with your attorney’s contact information (name, address, and telephone number).

If you would like to donate stock to DBSA, please send us an original, signed letter detailing the name and type of securities, number of shares, and provide us with your broker’s contact information (name, company, address, and telephone number).

The following information may be necessary to assist you and/or your broker in this process:
